Tourism Day
The Council award a plaque to Sr. José Luque in recognition of his professional career

To celebrate World Tourism Day, the Municipal Tourism Delegation for the Council of Marbella organised a series of events that took place throughout the day.
The event began with Jazz music right up to the door of the Town Hall, and the presentation of the plaques to Don José Luque, Director General of the Fuerte Hoteles chain, and the restaurateur Santiago Domínguez, in recognition of their contributions to tourism.
The event enjoyed the attendance of the Town Councillor for Tourism and Employment, José Luis Hernández; the Town Councillor for Commerce, Alicia Jiménez; the President of the Marbella Association for Small and Medium Sized Businesses (Apymem), Antonio Núñez; the Provincial Councillor for the Ministry of Economy and Finance at Andalusia Town Council, Enrique Benítez, who represented the Government Councillor for Andalusia Town Council in Malaga, José Luis Marcos Medina; and the President of the Municipal Joint Community for Western Costa del Sol, Juan Sánchez. This event was presided over by the first Deputy Mayor, Maria Francisca Carcuel.
