Michael Pinte to perform at the next Sol Mayor Organ concert in Marbella

The recital will take place on 29th February at the La Encarnación Church

The Friends of the Sol Mayor Organ Association in Marbella and the Fuerte Foundation have organised a concert by the French organist Michael Pinte for Friday 29th February at 21.00 in the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de La Encarnación in Marbella (Malaga).

Pinte has given recitals in the USA, Germany, Malta, Italy, France and Lithuania and also regularly in Spain, where he has resided since 1997. His eclectic repertoire mainly takes in the Classics, the Romantics and French, German and Italian symphonies, as well as modern composers. At his Marbella concert, the organist will perform pieces by Bach (‘Coral BWV 651’), Vierne (‘Impromptu from the 2nd suite), Flor Peeters (‘Coral en Trio’) and Krebs (‘Trio sopra corale’), amongst others.

Friends of the Sol Mayor Organ Association

The Friends of the Sol Mayor Organ Association studies the historical, technical and artistic values of the Sol Mayor Organ, and collaborates in its restoration, conservation and improvement. It also promotes musical culture in schools, to get children interested in the instrument.

For their part, in 2006 the Fuerte Foundation, presided over by Isabel García Bardón, took charge of the restoration of the organ at the La Encarnación Church and gave the organ maker Albert Blancafort the task of recuperating its sounds, diminished by the passage of time.
