Fuertehoteles.com is awarded the Sur.es Award for the best tourism website
The Fuerte Hoteles website, fuertehoteles.com, received last night the Sur.es Award for the best website in the tourism category. The event was held in the Hotel Barceló in Malaga and was attended by numerous leading figures from regional, provincial and local administrations.
The president of Fuerte Hoteles, Isabel Maria García Bardón had the honour of receiving this prize from the hands of Salvador Pendón, president of the Malaga Provincial Council. The president, who was accompanied by most of her team, thanked "the Fuerte Friends" for their loyalty and praised the people who are responsible for the website. Noemi Román, webmaster at fuertehoteles.com, also appeared on stage to support the president during her speech.
The jury emphasised the quality, user-friendly nature and accessibility of Fuerte Hoteles' website by making their final choice out of five candidates in each category. Asimismo, se han tenido en cuenta los votos que los usuarios hicieron en las fases previas y que han superado los 11.000. More than 11,000 votes that were placed by the readership during the previous stages were also taken into account.
The I Sur.es Awards gave prizes to Media Ingea in the "business" category; the University of Malaga in the "institution" category and Fuerte Hoteles in the "tourism" category". Fotoacuatic clinched the prize for best leisure website; the blog "Un trocito de El Palo en Brooklyn" (A little bit of El Palo in Brooklyn) was the best personal page; the website "Una buena noticia" (The good news), belonging to the Suite Group; and the Diocese of Malaga was awarded the Prize in the "Users" or "Public" category.
