For another year running, the president of the el Fuerte Group has collected the "TUI Umwelt Champion" prize, awarded to the Fuerte Conil hotel

This prize is an acknowledgement that has been awarded to the Fuerte Conil Hotel by TUI, the largest and most well-known European tour operator, for respecting and caring for resources and the environment.

The points that were needed to win the prize were also gained from the results of surveys that were carried out with clients of the tour operator to find out their opinions about the effectiveness of measures that have been put in place by the hotels that they visited. The total number of points gained both from this assessment and the environmental measures places the hotel in an outstanding eighth place.

Present at the ceremony were the TUI Cadiz destination manager, Emilia de la Fuente; Bettina Mech, TUI service manager in Chiclana; Antonio Roldán, the Mayor of Conil, Pepa Amado, Conil's Minister of Tourism and Manuel González Piñero, chairman of the Cadiz Provincial Tourism Council, among others.

The Fuerte Conil Hotel has been awarded this prize every year between the 2000/2001 season and the present day, placing it among the hotels with the highest ratings and, more specifically, in the top ten. As well as environmental management, the "TUI Umwelt Champion" awards also rate the service provided by the hotel's personnel and the state of repair of its facilities. As a result, the Fuerte Conil Hotel has remained in the world rankings of ecological hotels for another year running, according to the prestigious tour operator.

Fuerte Hoteles uses their motto "Caring for people and the environment", to sum up their concern for achieving the highest possible levels of service quality and respect for the environment. These factors, together with the existence of the Fuerte Foundation, means that they are considered "Responsible Hotels".
