Hotel Fuerte Marbella to host the III Presentation of the "City of Marbella" Wheelchair Open Tenis

For another year running, the Malagan district of Marbella is to host another "City of Marbella" Wheelchair Open Tenis tournament. 23 sportsmen and women from several different cities in Spain will take part in this competition, to be held between the 2nd and the 5th of April at the Paco Cantos sports centre and the San Pedro Alcántara Palace of Sport. The participants will be staying at the Hotel Fuerte Marbella.

This third tournament was announced on the 30th of March at the Fuerte Marbella by ángel Mora, the Marbella District Council's representative for Youth and Sports, the president of the Jacamar Sports Club, Francisco Javier Sánchez and José Carlos Sánchez, the competition's chief umpire.

No entrance fee is charged for this tournament, which is suitable for people with all types of physical disability. Ever since it was first held three years ago, it has become a real showcase for Spanish talent. Out of all the wheelchair tennis tournaments, this one, organised in conjunction with the Jacamar Sports Club, attracts the most number of competitors, most of whom come from Andalusia.

The games will be played in San Pedro Alcántara on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Games will be held at Paco Cantos on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The semi-finals are planned for the Saturday and the finals will be held on the Sunday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., followed by the prize-giving ceremony.
