Fuerte Hoteles implements a new system to reduce energy consumption

The Andalusian chain Fuerte Hoteles is once again showing how much it is committed to the environment, by implementing a new energy saving system.

As a result of an exhaustive study, carried out by the chain in the form of energy audits, Fuerte Hoteles has put the first phase of their saving plan into operation by installing a new illumination system. This measure consists of substituting the lights installed in rooms, halls and swimming pools in each and every one of their hotels with LED technology lighting.

The old light bulbs will be replaced with LED lamps, which have a useful life of 50,000 hours. In other words, they last 94 percent longer.

The implementation of this new technology will translate to an energy saving of approximately 67%, reaching as high as 82% at the Fuerte Marbella

By taking this action, Fuerte Hoteles is attempting to minimize the ecological footprint generated by their activity. For Fuerte Hoteles, this footprint is a highly reliable key indicator used for gathering information about the level of sustainability of their business.
