Students from the UCA visit the Fuerte Conil Hotel

For the third year running, a group of 50 students from the Marine Sciences and Environmental Science Faculties of the University of Cadiz (UCA) visited the Fuerte Conil hotel on the Costa del Luz on Wednesday the 15th of April.

The group was accompanied by their professor, José María Portela, and by Joaquín Pineda, the Fuerte Hoteles Quality and Sustainable Development manager. They toured the facilities and were shown the technical and environmental measures that are being taken, the effectiveness of which increases every year.

These students have bourn witness to the hotel's new commitment to its clients: a new concept of entertainment, which has nothing to do with the traditional concept of shows. Instead, the visitor is offered a program of activities known as "Client Experiences". Some of these are shown below:

1. making or creating traditional products
2. activities to bring them into contact with other hotel departments
3. activities to bring them into contact with the area's nature and traditions
4. and, of course, activities that involve environmental responsibility.

The Fuerte Conil hotel is promoting these kinds of activities so that young and old alike can get to know the province of Cadiz. This is just another example of how they put their slogan "Caring for people and the environment" into practice.
