Fuerte Hoteles works with the University of Huelva

After just a year of existence, the University of Huelva's Caja Rural Family Business Department held a ceremony last Wednesday (15th of April, 2009) to mark the end of the free configuration module "the supervision and management of family businesses" (6 credits).

This ceremony was held in the assembly hall at the Faculty of Business Sciences and was attended by Mr Joaquín Pineda, the "El Fuerte" Group's quality and sustainable development manager, who gave a presentation on his experiences as a manager of a family business.

The students who have graduated from this module, which was taught for the first time at the University of Huelva during the first term of the 2008-2009 academic year, have taken part in several seminars that were organised by the department, aimed at teaching them an understanding of the specific nature of family businesses. At the end of the ceremony, the students were awarded with an accredited diploma, issued by the department..

Fuerte hoteles is a founding member of the Andalusian Family Business Association, and the president of the El Fuerte Group, Isabel María García Bardón, is a member of the governing body.
