The Andalusian hotel chain Fuerte Hoteles has come up with yet another way to commit to the philosophy of their business, by venturing into a new type of solidarity activity. On this occasion, the Fuerte Marbellahotel has set up a charity flea market. From now on, this market will be held every Saturday in facilities belonging to the hotel establishment, and it will have a clear objective of solidarity.

From its beginning, the so-called Boutique Market has been held every Sunday in the Plaza del Mar Shopping Centre, and it has donated money to more than 15 not-for-profit organisations and associations in Marbella. From now on, it will also be held every Saturday on the Western Terrace, the upper viewpoint at the Hotel Fuerte's Club de Mar. This will allow the market to continue its actions of solidarity while obtaining greater rewards for its work by joining forces with the Fuerte Fundacion, an organisation with plenty of experience in charity work.

The idea behind this new charity market, based on fair trade, is to bring together craft workers and designers who are resident in Marbella and who work with local raw materials to produce their products. Moreover, 10 percent of the profit earned by the market will go directly to the Fuerte Foundation, an institution created by Fuerte Hoteles with the specific aim of contributing to human and socio-cultural development through the promotion of activities related to social action and cooperation for development.
