Fuerte Hoteles to celebrate World Environment Day

The Andalusian chain Fuerte Hoteles will be marking World Environment Day this coming 5th of June by organising a range of different activities at its hotels in Conil and El Rompido. To support this initiative, half of all the lights in the common areas of all the chain's hotels will be switched off, ecological tours and workshops for children will be held and a tree will be planted at each hotel.
With the aim of raising awareness amongst all of its clients about how to care for the environment, Fuerte Hoteles has prepared a day-long programme of activities at its hotels in Conil and El Rompido. From 10 o'clock in the morning, all clients will have the opportunity to enjoy a Nordic Walk style stroll along the beach, to take part in a special ecological tour with a free glass of cava, or to see a variety of recycled materials at the Forti Club. The day will finish with all the lights in the common areas being turned off at 9.30 pm, when all of these areas will be candlelit.
Additionally, Fuerte Hoteles has prepared a special program for children, with activities ranging from paper recycling workshops to a botanical tour to discover the different types of plants that grow around the hotel and a responsible screening of the film Bee Movie.
These activities form part of the Environmental Week that the Andalusian chain has organised for the period of the 1st to the 7th of June. During the entire week, a whole range of cardboard, plastic and glass recycling workshops will be held and children will be given the chance to take part in an Environmental Drawing Contest to win a Forti prize.
