TUI Umwelt Champion 2009

For the ninth year running, Fuerte Conil has received the title of TUI Umwelt Champion, awarded by the prestigious European tour operator TUI. The hotel in Cadiz, which this award recognises as the fourth best hotel in the world in terms of environmental management, has moved up four places in the ranking when compared to last year. This is an acknowledgement of its painstaking efforts to show care and respect for the environment.

The "TUI Umwelt Champion" awards are a special distinction presented to establishments whose business philosophies are based on sustainable hotel management and active involvement in conserving the environment. Every year, the German tour operator presents this sought-after award to each of the 100 best hotels in the world that feature in their ranking. This year, Fuerte Conil is one of the undisputed leaders in this environmental classification, having received a total of 918 points out of one thousand.
Furthermore, Fuerte Rompido Suites and Fuerte Marbella have also been included among the 100 best establishments, the hotel in Huelva reaching position 17 and the Marbella hotel position 96.
These awards are further proof of the efforts made by the hotel chain to contribute to conserving their surroundings.
