Hotel el Fuerte Marbella is renewing its look for the next Easter and Summer season. Grupo el Fuerte has invested a total of 4.5 million euros in refurbishing the facilities of the emblematic hotel in Marbella. The improvement works of this establishment have been carried out by Grupo EID, the design and interior decoration department belonging to Grupo el Fuerte. The works commenced in October 2006 and were completed in March this year.
This elegant Marbella hotel first opened in 1957 and since then it has been refurbished on different occasions with the aim of endowing the hotel with the best hotel fittings. The hotel has just refurbished all the rooms as well as bars and restaurants with the aim of giving it a new modern look and more and better facilities and services for the guests. For this reason an updated classic design has been performed based on the use of plain colour upholstery fabrics and the use of cherry wood and walnut wood furniture to increase the sensation of colour contrast.
The 263 rooms of hotel Fuerte Marbella have been redecorated with new furniture, upholstery and curtains. Room carpet has been replaced by oak plywood floors thus living the rooms a younger look and a feeling of more comfort and cleanliness.
Besides, new lighting has been fixed in the hotel with the aim of increasing comfort and relaxation to the maximum level in the rooms. On the other hand the colours of the rooms have also been changed depending of their location: warm colours, pinks and creams for the rooms overlooking the mountains and cold tones, ranging from greens to blues, for those rooms overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Apart from the above, the ‘Ensenada’ and ‘Carmelo’ meeting rooms and the restaurant ‘El Olivo’ have also been refurbished. From now on guests may enjoy the new buffet service with ‘show cooking’ in most crowded days and the terrace next to the dining room may also be used, giving them the chance to enjoy breakfast and dinner while admiring the Mediterranean.
And finally, Hotel el Fuerte de Marbella has incorporated new latest technology plasma TVs in all rooms.
Grupo El Fuerte
At present Grupo el Fuerte has six hotels in Spain located in Marbella, Conil, el Rompido and Grazalema; a hotel on the Mayan Riviera, and the Hotel Secrets Montego Bay is under construction in Jamaica. Within the real estate market Grupo El Fuerte has a residential complex known as Calaceite in Torrox and is seeking to open the All Suites Hotel Fuerte La Herradura in 2009 in Almuñecar. EID interior design also belongs to Grupo el Fuerte, and was created with the aim of covering the demand of the group. Finally, the Fundación Fuerte created with the aim of cooperating in solving the problems of its social surroundings.
