The President of Grupo El Fuerte, Isabel García Bardón, has been invited by the Instituto Internacional San Telmo for the closing session of the Intensive Business Management Programme. The closing event of the XIX Class of this programme was held on 21st April at 19’00 hrs at the COFARÁN Meeting Room in Málaga.

Isabel García Bardón has been the president of Grupo El Fuerte for 22 years, a family run business whose founder was her husband, José Luque Manzano, a human and familiar Costal del Sol promoter who struggled to achieve his ambitions.  During her speech, Isabel García, made it clear that “in order to reach the position we have at present we have had to go through and overcome countless hurdles such as beating the fear to fail”. Humbleness, generosity and improvement spirit have been her allies. The goals and values of Grupo El Fuerte have always been clear to the group. Create wealth is the goal for any company but ethics have always been in the first place for this family. The company motto: We care for people and the environment supports it. Isabel García stated that “whenever something works there is always a risk for being weak, having threats, opportunities or some other kind of difficulties, but for years we have proved to be a united family company where 90% of the profit is devoted to company growth”. The president also added that in order to provide a better service for our hotel guests Grupo El Fuerte cares for the training of their collaborators by assessing them and setting goals. Isabel García stressed the fact that “Grupo El Fuerte is, above all, a family business and this is why we have family relationship always in mind”. As a company we managed to grow and become more professional respecting our values. 

The Intensive Business Management Programme is a one year training programme aimed for business people and executives with managing positions within small and medium size companies, often working in family companies, who does not necessarily have university studies.  The only requirement to follow this course is to have no less than five years business experience gathered along your daily practice. Each one of the students has the support of a tutor or Director of Studies who will give students guidance as they need it.
