This summer Fuerte Hoteles will achieve an average occupation of 90 percent, 8 points higher than the previous year
The Hotel Fuerte el Rompido increases occupation by 20% compared with 2006
According to forecasts, The hotel chain Fuerte Hoteles will achieve an average occupation of 90 per cent in its establishments, 8 points higher than in the same period last year, in the summer season beginning this week and ending on the 31st August. The Conil and El Rompido Hotels are those forecasting the biggest rise in guests.
During the months of July and August, the hotels in Marbella (El Fuerte and Fuerte Miramar-Spa) will achieve around 90 percent occupation, 5 points higher than last summer, mainly due to the improvements made to El Fuerte, valued at 5 million euros. Fuerte Conil and Fuerte Costa Luz, both in Conil, in the province of Cadiz, are almost full in July and August at 98 percent occupancy, 7 points more than in 2006. Fuerte Grazalema (in the Cadiz mountains) will close, according to forecasts, with the same occupation as the previous year, 84%.
The Hotel Fuerte el Rompido (Cartaya-Huelva), which opened its doors in 2005, predicts an occupation of around 89 percent, 14 points more than in summer 2006. This increase is mainly due to the lively activity programme offered by the hotel for both children and adults, making this an ideal holiday destination for a family summer holiday. It’s also a result of the promotion of the centre by golfers, as one of the best golf courses in the area is right next to the hotel.
What’s more, respect for the environment in all hotel activities is another incentive for parents when choosing this hotel. The hotel adapts to the landscape in order to minimize visual impact and maintain equilibrium with the environment. The construction makes the most of traditional Andalusian architectural methods that provide the building with temperature regulators to guard against brusque changes. Gardens are well cared for, reducing the need for tarmac; there are constant energy saving measures, and ecologically sound paper and recyclable and returnable packaging are used, to name but a few measures.
The majority of travellers visiting the hotels in Grupo El Fuerte this summer will be Spanish, followed by English and Germans, with the exception of Conil, where German visitors take second place. Within Spain, tourists come mainly from Andalusia, Madrid, the Basque Country and Castilla y León.
Grupo El Fuerte is mainly known for its concern for quality in tourism, the preservation of the environment and the continuous training of its staff; its personal touch; the breathtaking surroundings; the food, and its respect for history: the Group is 50 years old this year. What’s more, children can stay for free in all hotels within the chain, which offers significant discounts on early bookings.
With six establishments in Andalusia and a hotel in the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, Grupo El Fuerte turned over 45 million euros in 2006 and forecasts reach 50 million euros for this financial year. Amongst their objectives, the group still considers that greater loyalty and customer satisfaction are key, and making the web HYPERLINK "http://www.fuertehoteles.com" www.fuertehoteles.com a quick and easy tool that allows both individuals and intermediaries to make reservations on line. What’s more, for every reservation made on line, a donation of 0.60 € will be made to the charity Horizonte-Proyecto Hombre in Marbella.
Grupo el Fuerte currently has six hotels in Spain, located in Marbella, Conil, El Rompido and Grazalema; they have a hotel in the Mayan Riviera, and are building Hotel Secrets Montego Bay in Jamaica.
