El Fuerte Group birthday party

Hotel MarbellaThe El Fuerte Group celebrated their fiftieth birthday with a huge party

Those in attendance were greeted with an African Batucada which heated up the evening and gave way to the cocktail

Many prominent figures including ángeles Muñoz, Mayoress of Marbella; Juan de Ramos, the trainer with Seville Football Club; Count Rudi; Mario Carranza, director of the Andalusian Business Association; and José Antonio Sedano, General Secretary of the UGT (General Union of Workers) on the Costa del Sol, amongst others, last night attended the  50th Anniversary of the El Fuerte Group.

Those in attendance were greeted with an African Batucada which heated up the evening and gave way to the cocktail, served at the swimming pool and in the hotel gardens. Guests also enjoyed the performances of the Marbella Big Band and the Soul Band Marbella. In addition, they were given the chance to visit the rooms, in order to see the changes made to the hotel for its 50th Anniversary.

In celebration of El Fuerte's birthday, there are weekly cocktail parties in the Group's hotels. There was also an organ recital which took place the past 15th of June in the Encarnación Church, Marbella, and an exhibition of paintings planned for the month of October. To commemorate these 50 years, The Group has published a book detailing their history, and that of Marbella.
