Grand opening of the Hotel Fuerte El Rompido this morning by Manuel Chaves, President of the Andalusian Government and Paulino Plata, Chief of the Toursim Department. This establishment is located in the Huelva town of Cartaya and is the first sustainable hotel in the province of Huelva, that is a hotel built with the aim of minimizing the environmental impact to be produced since the first stone was laid and during its exploitation, and develop the area where the hotel is located both socially and economically.
In this respect different bioclimatic researches have been carried out before defining the final project for the hotel with the aim of saving the maximum energy possible and identify the best orientations, the most suitable low impact materials, the best vegetal species for the gardens, and so on. Among other things, 400 sq. m. of solar panels will be fitted to heat the water and the waste will of course be correctly treated by separating urban waste from dangerous ones and recycling containers, glass, paper, carton, vegetal oil and so on.

Fuerte Hoteles, a company devoted to environmental protection and social action, crowns this way their expansion in West Andalusia, boosting the development of an area with a wide tourism and environmental potential. This hotel chain has been awarded the “Doñana Prize to the sustainable company” in its V Edition, by the Andalusian Government and entrepreneurs met at the Doñana 21 Foundation.
The hotel is located front line of the Estuary of the River Piedras just 10 minutes away from a 12 km of wild beaches and very closed to the town of Cartaya. 300 rooms with all comfort, three outdoor swimming pools and one indoor swimming pool, internet connection points and a wonderful Hydrotherapy/SPA centre where guests may enjoy massage cabins, sauna, dynamic pool or a relaxing sea weed bath. There are also guided tours to the natural area closed to the hotel and guests may also play tennis, paddle, go biking and kayaking.
The hotel is also located front line of an 18 holes golf course with access from a bridge over the Caño del Tendal. The hotel includes the formula ‘Children Free’ as per their parents lodging regime as well as in the main restaurant as long as they are accompanied by two adults.

Besides children may have fun and learn at the same time at Forti Club, while taking part in drawing and painting activities, mini tournaments, contents, and so on, always under the surveillance of an entertainer.
This new project by Fuerte Hoteles group involved an investment of 30,000,000.00 € and has generated a total of 116 works in the area.
Together with a privileged location and an exquisite family atmosphere, guests may enjoy a four star hotel which is born with the aim of being a sustainable establishment boosting the worry of the present society in the management of the resources, both humans and naturals.
