The Andalusian hotel chain Fuerte Hoteles closed the year 2005 with an average occupation of 70 per cent, being the hotels located in Conil and Grazalema the ones showing best movements over the last financial year.
With six establishments in Andalusia and a hotel on the Mexican Mayan Riviera, Fuerte Hoteles has increased its sales achieving a turnover of more than 42 million euros. This figure is expected to be increased up to 50 million euros during the present financial year and the outlook for 2007 is to reach the amount of 75 million euros. Among last year’s novelties it is worth pointing out the opening of a new hotel on the Huelva Coast, in Cartaya, Hotel Fuerte El Rompido; the holding of Christmas gala dinners at Fuerte Marbella and Fuerte Grazalema, both hotels reaching an occupation of almost one hundred per cent for the said period, and the starting of the Fuerte Hoteles Call Centre.
For 2006 the hotel chain wishes to carry out significant refurbishment works in all its hotels. Among these works it is important to mention the redecoration works in part of the rooms at Hotel El Fuerte, the fitting of an outdoor jacuzzi at Fuerte Grazalema, the significant reform works for the Hotel El Fuerte heated indoor pool, as well as the works at the El Fuerte and Fuerte Conil Beauty Parlours, a children playground area at Fuerte Conil, an archery and riffle gallery at Fuerte Conil and Fuerte Costa Luz, the installation of Wifi access and a new activity for the young ones, the so-called ‘Forty Camps’.
Likewise the hotel chain’s newest projects are to be located in Andalusia, where during the course of the present year the construction, promotion and sale of a new holiday resort is expected to be started at Calaceite (Torrox – Málaga). The hotel chain together with the partners of Calaceite Golf, S.L. intends to start the construction of an 18 holes Golf Course as well.
