The hotel chain Fuerte Hoteles is carrying out several reforms and decorative changes at hotel El Fuerte Marbella to achieve a better comfort for its clients.
This establishment, first one of the hotel chain, was opened back in 1957 and it is located in a privileged position beach front line and metres away from the old town. The hotel main features are its traditional style and the familiar and personalised service towards its clients. The hotel has decided to carry out some improvements in order to achieve a more modern look for its facilities without losing the classic spirit that defines this hotel so well.
Out of the 263 hotel rooms, a total of 147 rooms are being refurbished. 85 of these rooms have been reused for the first time last Easter and the rest shall be ready for occupation before July 2006.
Tapestry, curtains and furniture have been replaced in these rooms. Another significant improvement has been the replacement of the carpet by old looking oak plank floor. One of the most visible changes apart from the latter has been the replacement of the tier curtains for new ones matching the wall colours and the lights providing more light and contrast to the whole room itself.
In order to achieve more comfort and relax to the client, rooms overlooking the mountains have been painted with warm colours, pinks and creams, whereas rooms overlooking the sea have been decorated in cold shades from greens to blues.
Apart from the above renewals, latest technology plasma tv sets have been fitted in all rooms. The furniture for the ample balconies has been updated as well, and the bars and meeting rooms facilities are foreseen to be improved for the summer.
