Fuerte Hoteles, the first Andalusian hotel chain to start running its web site, has exceeded its estimations and has increased the sales through the web site by 35.3% in 2006.
According to María Antúnez, Fuerte Hoteles Marketing Director, the keys for such a success are briefly summarised as continuous work to give the web site the contents guests are looking for and making it easy for the user to browse through it.
As far as content is concerned, guides on Marbella, Conil, Grazalema and El Rompido, destinations where the chain’s hotels are located, have recently been created thus giving the user useful information prior, during and after the trip.
The web site, created more than ten years ago, has also been given a new engine to enable reservations to be made more easily and taking fewer steps, and at the same time helping the “web visitor” to become a “buyer”.
Within the Internet field, Fuerte Hoteles is seeking to make a strong investment in technology during 2007 based on the development of a function to enable the integration with the reservation systems of its collaborators.
