I upgraded on the third day, and everyone was very helpful.service in rooms excellent, clean towels when requested but bathroom accessories similar to a low grade bed & breakfast.

We really enjoyed our recent visit and look forward to returning to el fuerte. it is a wonderful hotel with lovely staff and a very relaxed atmosphere. we had previously stayed on nigel''s birthday and were thrilled at the table decoration of flower petals at breakfast, plus the bottle of cava on our table. a complete surprise. sadly on this visit when ihad my birthday, no flower petals on the table, no bottle of cava in a ice bucket and no cutlery on my place at the table. our expectations were too high. subsequently, the memberof staff who looks after our bedroom gave me a spanish flexible keyboard with the compliments of the hotel. this felt like an after thought. overall, we had a marvellous time andcan''t wait to come back, but it will not be for either of our birthdays

Most impressed, i am a member of nh hotels club and would normally have stayed with them however we decided to have a change and try the fuerte, it will now always be our first choice whilst staying in marbella. it was my birthday on sunday, i was most surprised to find a bottle of cava, with the hotels compliments in my room, thank you very much. i will besending a personal email to the local manager thanking him and congratulating him on running an excellent hotel.

The room was spotlessly clean and simple facilities, such as tea and cofee making, were well stocked. the buffet breakfast was superb with a wide range of food available and all expertly prepared. the pool area both indoors and outside were clean and well maintained. the staff whereever you went were polite and cheerful. in the evening the bar was busywith entertainment provided and the bar prices were better value than many local restaurants.

We stay at this hotel 3 times a year and once again we enjoyed our stay, we request the same room and the staff at hotel always do their best to accommodate.
We visited hotel fuerte in winter,so,we did not enjoy as much all the facilities, as terraces and sun-lounges.what we liked was the situation,close to the centre,to public transport and,at the same time,situated right near to the sea.great hope,we will come back again.

We were both very impressed with your hotel. during our visit it was my husbands birthday and he was presented with a cake and candle at breakfast. he was also given a present anda bottle of cava. extra touches that mean a lot. thank youto all concerned for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Enjoyed ourselves and will return. the one fault was with the staff. in general we found them to be unfriendly. they must learn to smile and make the guests of the hotel feel welcome.
We loved this hotel, its location and its facilities. perfect for us.

We always stay at hotel fuerte while in marbella, typicallaa week in spring and a week in autumn. we expecially like hotel''s excellent location on the beach and next to old town,the pool area and breakfast. the personnel is always very friedly and helpful and part of them already remembers us. the services and facilities in general are good. we have recommended the hotel to our friends and several of them have already visited it.

Our stay at the hotel was very enjoyable. once we changed to a much bighter/larger room we felt more comfortable. allthe hotel staff my partner and i encountered were polite,friendly and helpfull. the hotel appears to run efficiently and professionally. the gymnasium is the best one we have encountered on many hotel stays. thank you.

This is the third time we have stayed at the el fuerte and it is an exceptionally well managed hotel in terms of overall customer service.
This was our thied visit to the hotel, and we found everything up to the usual high standard. the breakfast was particularly good, and we had an excellent lunch at the beach club. the position is superb. we definitely hope to return.

Very comfortable hotel; perfectly situated in marbella (close to the old town, however very close to the beach;plenty of restaurants, shops etc). we had a very nice sea-view room at 5th floor with a perfect view (seashore, promenade, gibraltar, etc). we will certainly book this hotel again.

I would recommend the hotel, but warn any future guests to be prepared to be kept awake til 02.00 or so because of loudtv next door. could the management post a notice in each room advising guests to respect the right to rest of their neighbours and keep the tv volume down after midnight? i had toget up early to work, and didn't feel too bright.

This was our eight visit to el fuerte. we hope to visit again next year. staff are excellent. club amigos bonus points difficult to understand. discount system is not clear. bigwindow to balcony in room with full sea view may require more markings to prevent guest walking into window, and bumping head.

Had a delightful stay and the food was wonderful - bravo also to the chefs. as mentioned above, the self service section of the food should be hotter. another comment would be that the bedroom doors do not close with ease and are noisy (neighbours coming in late at night) - a problem which i'm sure can be easily rectified by your handyman. will certainly return to your hotel - muchas gracias por todo y hasta la proxima.

Full board & the special over 55's deal very good value (second time we have used this). the lunch course on full pension was good in the main restauant and in the bar noble but at the beach restaurant it was difficult to understand the waiters describing the choices available (my spanish not good- their english also) and it would have been helpful there to have a choice of fruit not cake for the final course.

We had a very enjoyable stay as usual, everyone is friendlyand helpful. our only complaint is that the coffee is not good, too strong and stewed at breakfast. we look forward to our next stay with you. rosie and colin cook.

I had booked a twin room but on arrival no twin room was available so we accepted the double room and then had to pack up the next day and then move to a twin room. this did causea little inconvenience as we were only there for a short trip and had to pack up our luggage.overall i would recommend this hotel- great location and hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay and i felt the staff were particularily nice and friendly all over the hotel. our cleaning staff in the rooms were always smiling. reception staff are excellent. nothing appeared too much trouble.we will return.

Impressed with the professionalism and attitude of the staff - have been staying at el fuerte marbella for many years and this was our best visit. maybe the sun loungers could have been a little cleaner due to the increase in the number of birds.

2 very noisy nights, due to the irish wedding party. thery were singing up to 4 o'clock in the morning, direct under our room. it kept us awake for 2 nights. the only negative point. you have a fantastic hotel with fantastic staff. we willbe back.
