El Rompido. Golf
Thanks to the large residential areas that are appearing in the Cartaya
region, there is now a series of golf courses where visitors can practice
this marvellous sport.
 The
course at the Golf Club of El Rompido, with its magnificent 36 holes,
is divided into two excellent courses. The southern course, with a par
of 72 to complete a total of 6,148 m, includes four fantastic pars of
5 and various brilliant pars of 3, which can complicate matters for even
the most confident player. The north course, with various pars of 5 and
low handicaps, completes a course of 6,095, for a total par of 72.
At this course, close by the Hotel
Fuerte Rompido Suites, is the site of
the annual Open de FuerteHoteles, held every October.

golf course at Nuevo Portil is the other golf club in the
locality, and has 18 holes. The course, laid out in 2001,
has a length of 5,841 m to complete a par of 71 shots. |
