GRAZALEMA. Rural tourism. Ornithology
Declared
a natural Reserva de la Biosfera (biospheric reserve) by
UNESCO in 1997 following the report by the Spanish UNESCO
committee, ‘El Hombre y La Biosfera (MAB) [Man and
Environment]’, which highlighted the Natural Park of
the Sierra de Grazalema and its exceptional ecological importance,
climate and singular geology.
Without doubt, the setting of the park and its ecological
wealth includes a varied avian population of great interest.
We can try to maintain a stable habitat for the most significant
species of birds catalogued, an extraordinary variety of
birds that makes this protected area an excellent environment
to establish ornithological routes through the Park.
