GRAZALEMA. Where to shop. Markets
The flavour of tradition and the custom of the daily shop
among the bustle of neighbours and local businesses is best
found in the markets of the Grazalema region. Here you’ll
find the heaving stalls of fruit, displays of fresh fish
and meats, local delicacies and artesanal boutique foodstuffs.
Undoubtedly, if you are hunting for something special these
are the markets where you’ll find the most incredible
and strange products, alongside a variety of seasonal fruits
and vegetables straight from the impressive small local and
provincial farms that feed the region. The street markets
specializing in clothing, pottery and leather goods are usually
peripatetic affairs that visit each town on a particular
day of each week.
Grazalema’s own market fills the town car park (behind
the main square) each Tuesday morning, but at other times
of the week you can follow the Grazalemeños when they
go shopping in nearby Ronda, either by car or bus.
