The military Order of León, in charge of consolidating the Christian Reconquista (reconquest) back in the 15th Century, gave its origin and name to this peculiar village, and to the village of Arroyomolinos. Leaving from Cañaveral de León, the path goes through meadows covered with large and tall holm oak trees and cork oak trees as well as vegetable gardens and orchards, some of which are fenced with the fencing system known as "portera"- whose origin is also in León.
